A Life Update

What I've been up to and why I am done with school

As I’m typing this it is almost the new year, which is crazy to wrap my head around. 2022 was a crazy year, and probably the best one of my life! I tend to be bleak and hard on myself when it comes to self-reflecting but I had an amazing year. There were so many problems and insecurities I was facing that I always feared would hold me back that are no longer on my mind. I’ve gained so much mental clarity and feel like I’ve made the leap from a teenager to a young adult. Aside from the fact that I turn 20 in a few months, I’m in the middle of a really big life transition.

I am no longer a student. I just finished up my last final, and I now have a bachelor's of business in finance. Finance is so antithetical to not just my online presence, but also my real life. If I’m being honest I kind of just picked it. I hate saying that because education is such a privilege and, wasting it on something you don’t care about is stupid. Honestly, I didn’t know what else to pick and in hindsight, I made the best choice with the knowledge I had. I don’t even regret it because even now I don’t know what else I would settle on.
